Planning and Research

The Division of Aging Services utilizes data to track daily operations.  The information gained from reviewing and analyzing the data is used to guide process management and ultimately improve outcomes for clients and overall organizational performance.

Additional Benefits of Allowing Data to Guide Process Management:

  • Ensures program management focus on results and program staff not only know the proper strategies for delivering services but also understand and measure the impact of services on clients;
  • Guides process management toward the achievement of Divisional, Departmental and the Governor’s key results and strategic goals;
  • Determines programs’ impact on clients and the state as a whole.  For example, this information might be used, to expand effective pilot programs to other areas of the state;
  • Determines the reasons for substandard performance and helps identify ways to improve program impact; and
  • Identifies opportunities for inter-agency coordination to optimize both the use of state dollars and the effectiveness of state programs.
